My story:How I wrote diary as I was a child in school

dú xiǎo xué de shí hóu ，
读 小   学  的 时  侯  ，
When I was in primary school,

lǎo shī měi tiān yào wǒ men xiě rì jì ，
老  师  每  天   要  我 们  写  日 记 ，
Teacher asked us to write diary everyday,

dào zhōu mò liǎo ， hái yào xiě yí biàn zuò wén 。
到  周   末 了   ， 还  要  写  一 遍   作  文  。
At the weekend,we also had to write a composition.

qǐnɡ wèn ， nǐ men yònɡ zhōnɡ wén xiě rì jì mɑ ？
请   问  ， 你 们  用   中    文  写  日 记 吗 ？
Excuse me,do you write diary in Chinese?

wǒ de ɡù shi ：
我 的 故 事  ：
My story:

wǒ shì ɡè lǎn xué shenɡ ，
我 是  个 懒  学  生    ，
I was a lazy student,

wǒ chánɡ chánɡ zhè yànɡ xiě rì jì ：
我 常    常    这  样   写  日 记 ：
I usually wrote diary like this:

“ jīn tiān wǒ shànɡ le yì tánɡ shēnɡ dònɡ de lì shǐ kè ， wǒ xué dào le 。 。 。 。 ”
“ 今  天   我 上    了 一 堂   生    动   的 历 史  课 ， 我 学  到  了 。 。 。 。 ”
"Today I had a vivid history class,I've learned ..."

rán hòu ， wǒ jiù cónɡ lì shǐ kè běn shànɡ chāo yí duàn ，
然  后  ， 我 就  从   历 史  课 本  上    抄   一 段   ，
And then,I copy a paragraph from the history textbook,

zhè yànɡ yí biàn rì jì jiù xiě wán liǎo ， hā hā ！
这  样   一 遍   日 记 就  写  完  了   ， 哈 哈 ！
thus,I finished a diary easily,aha!

dú xiǎo xué de shí hou

when I studied in primary school which means When I was in primary school,this is the most common and short way to say it in Chinese.
